I know you’ve been battling knee and/or hip pain for quite a while and you’ve already tried most or all the following options:
1. Orthopedic doctor
2. Physical therapy
3. Chiropractic
4. Acupuncture
5. Massage
6. Surgery
But you’re still in pain….Nothing helps and you’ve already given up on living a pain-free life.
You stopped running, horseback riding, gardening.
You quit step class and spinning.
You’re gaining weight.
You feel old and out of shape.
You feel depressed.
And the worst thing is, you can’t find the remedy for your pain!
What if I told you, your knee/hip pain are caused by your feet?
Would you just assume I’m wrong, because how could your feet cause knee/hip pain or would you give me the benefit of the doubt?
Here is the explanation:
If you are like most people, you probably overpronate your feet. Meaning, you put most of your body weight onto the big toe side of your feet.
This uneven weight distribution affects ALL joints higher up in your body.
These changes in the joints then lead to overuse of certain muscles and underuse of others. Which over time limits ROM in your joints and creates excessive wear and tear in your body.
And voila, one day you wake up with achy knees and/or a weird pain in your hip. You rest it, and it gets better. You go on a jog or a hike and the pain comes back.
You get into a vicious pain cycle. You start seeing the above listed practitioners and you get some relief. But it doesn’t last.
Why?
Because nobody is addressing the root cause of your problem. Your body gets treatment but you return to your old patterns as soon as you walk out the door. And that old pattern will flare up your pain again!
Solution:
You need to stop overpronating your feet! Sign up for my 1-1 online coaching program and I will guide you through the process of fixing your knees and hips!
I think we can agree that you need to be an active participant in your healing. If you don’t stop overpronating your feet and damaging your joints, no surgery, drugs, massage, joint manipulation, acupuncture, etc. will solve your problem.
Take a look at the picture below to see, how an overpronated left foot causes alignment changes in the knees and hips. But it’s only part of the big picture, because not only the knees and hips, but EVERYTHING, even the head and shoulders will have to adjust and shift out of their original, ideal position!
