How long have you had low back pain and Sciatica? The answer is, you’ve had ……..(low back pain/Sciatica, fill in the dots) for as long as your hip muscles have been sleeping on the job.
Those muscles need to wake up, otherwise every time you move your body, even if you “only” walk, you will hurt your back and your hips!
Why is that? Your hip muscles:
1. help stabilize your trunk, your pelvis and your legs
2. they extend your hip
3. stabilize your lateral hip
4. externally and internally rotate your legs
If you have low back pain and Sciatica, it means you developed compensatory movement patterns, which causes other, smaller muscles to fire and leave you with tight, overworked, painful muscles.
I wanted to share an exercise with you, to show you, how to strengthen your hip muscles.
