Do you have tight hips? If you answered yes, I have to tell you, it’s one of the most common complaints I hear. I think it’s safe to say, 8 people out of 10 constantly feel like their hips are tight?
You know as a matter of fact what’s to blame?
The sitting lifestyle!
After long periods of sitting your hip flexor muscles (the muscles that allow you to lift your knees towards your chest) can become tight and shorten. Tight can also cause back pain and poor posture, as your body compensates for the limited mobility.
To prevent tight hips, stand up and move around, practice hip stretches, and stay active. Regular exercise that involves hip movement will keep your hip muscles healthy and mobile.
Check out my video below on stretching hips for some simple exercises you can do to alleviate tightness and improve mobility.
Don’t let sitting too much lead to all of a sudden tight hips. Take care of your body and incorporate these tips and exercises into your daily routine.
