Sciatica is one of the most common complaints I face with in my studio. It comes in two forms. One is caused by disk herniation, the other one is the result of a tight Piriformis muscle, that pushes on the Sciatic nerve. The latter is what they call Piriformis Syndrome.
Either way, my best advice to you is you should take your health in your own hands. No one knows your body like you and you need to have some simple, yet effective skills you can turn to, in order to eliminate the pain. Because what are you gonna do if your Sciatica flares up while you’re traveling or you’re getting ready for your daughter’s wedding, a family reunion, etc?
And most importantly, don’t wait for the next Sciatic flare up, but start practicing these techniques a few times a week and you will see a big shift in how your body feels!
